Physical Access
The University of Maryland is committed to ensuring full and equal access to all its facilities. The websites below will be updated to reflect known construction activity and elevator outages that would impact disability access. If at any time there is an issue that is not reported on this website or if you have a question about physical access, please contact the ADA/504 Coordinator at

Campus Map
Note: Select the "Directions" tab, then click the "Accessible Pathways" checkbox to see accessible campus routes. Accessible routing options are
currently calculated for shortest travel distances avoiding stairs and
undepressed curbs with no consideration of elevation change or sidewalk
grade.
For assistance finding your way around campus from your mobile device:
- The campus map has a mobile-friendly campus map when a mobile device is detected.
- There is an official UMD mobile app that includes a mobile-friendly view of the map in the Campus Map section.
Construction
Elevator Access

Service Impacts
Wheels off Walkways
Walkways at UMD must be clear for pedestrian access, especially for those with mobility challenges. Blocking walkways with vehicles or equipment creates barriers and endangers individuals with disabilities. Clear walkways promote inclusivity, independence, and safety for all.
