Note: Select the "Directions" tab, then click the "Accessible Pathways" checkbox to see accessible campus routes. Accessible routing options are currently calculated for shortest travel distances avoiding stairs and undepressed curbs with no consideration of elevation change or sidewalk grade.

Elevator Access

To report broken elevators and/or automatic door openers in campus buildings, you can call 301-405-2222 or submit an online service request. Students who experience access issues in residence halls should contact their RA or building manager for assistance.

Wheels off Walkways

Walkways at UMD must be clear for pedestrian access, especially for those with mobility challenges. Blocking walkways with vehicles or equipment creates barriers and endangers individuals with disabilities. Clear walkways promote inclusivity, independence, and safety for all.
